Zoosi is a free set of animal-learning games made by Tou Yia Xiong in Brooklyn, New York. This page explains what happens to information when you or your child use zoosi.co.
The short version: Zoosi has no accounts, no sign-up, no ads, and no cookies. Nothing is tracked for advertising, and we never ask children for information about themselves.
There are no accounts, logins, or profiles. Zoosi never asks for a name, email address, age, birthday, photo, location, or anything else about the person playing. There is no chat, no comments, no uploads, and no way for a player to send information to us or to anyone else through the games.
Like nearly every website, the server that hosts Zoosi keeps a standard access log of the requests it receives. Each entry records:
These logs are created by our hosting provider, GoDaddy, and summarized by AWStats, a statistics tool built into the hosting account. They are retained by the hosting provider for a limited period and are not archived or exported anywhere else.
No third-party analytics service, advertising network, or tracking script runs on Zoosi.
An IP address is what children’s privacy law calls a persistent identifier. Zoosi collects it only through the standard server log described above, and only to support the internal operations of the site. Specifically:
These identifiers are not used to build profiles of visitors, to contact anyone, to serve advertising, or for any form of behavioral targeting. They are not sold, rented, or shared with anyone else for their own purposes, and they are not combined with any other information about a visitor. Zoosi has no mechanism for doing any of these things, because no advertising or analytics code is installed on the site.
Zoosi does not store anything on the device you play on. No cookies are set, and nothing is written to your browser’s storage. Each time a game opens it starts fresh, which also means progress is not carried over between sessions.
Zoosi never requests access to your microphone and does not record sound.
Animal names in all four languages are prerecorded audio files stored on Zoosi’s own server. Playing them involves no one but you and us.
Zoosi carries no advertising of any kind. There are no ad networks, no retargeting pixels, and no social media tracking pixels anywhere on the site. Nothing about a visitor is sold or shared for marketing.
Zoosi is made for young children and the grown-ups who play alongside them. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and the games are built so that there is nothing for a child to submit.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information some other way — by emailing the contact address below, for instance — write to us and we will delete it.
You may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold that relates to your child, to request that it be deleted, or to ask that we stop collecting it. Because Zoosi keeps no accounts and no records tied to individuals, in most cases the honest answer will be that there is nothing to retrieve or delete. We will tell you so plainly.
Zoosi is operated from the United States, and the server that hosts it is located there. If you visit from anywhere else, your request reaches a U.S. server and appears in the access log described above. Those logs are held by our hosting provider, are overwritten on their own schedule, and are never archived, exported, or combined with anything else. Beyond that log, Zoosi holds no accounts and no records tied to any individual, so there is nothing further about your visit held anywhere.
